My career with the Airlines:	I believe my airline is stable and secure. I enjoy great seniority. I have no real concerns about the future of my employment I look back with great fondness at my time spent with the airlines I never thought this could happen to me -- not after this many years Even though I have fairly good seniority I am concerned about the long term security of my job I feel angry, hurt, and betrayed. I am/was an excellent employee. I did nothing wrong. I did nothing to deserve this I have made peace or hope to soon make peace with the fact that this has happened. I have moved on I have been treated so unfairly that making peace with what has happened to me is not an option My heart breaks for those involved in a furlough. If I could do anything to change the situation I would I'm concerned that because of the current situation my own lifestyle might change I know my job is safe but I am concerned. I could go back onto reserve or be "force transferred" to another base Being a Flight Attendant is the perfect career for me. It is part of who I am. I can't imagine ever doing anything else I don't particularly enjoy the job. I don't hate it -- I'm just "over" it. If I won the lottery I'd probably quit tomorrow. It would be a great job except for certain things, such as having to sit standby flying out of 3 airports, or commuting I'm a "hobby" or part-time flyer. It's not really my main source of income. I fly to keep the benefits & perks I need this job. I will always be Senior -- until I retire. I will always be Junior -- even when I retire.
Personal situation:	I am married I have a life partner I am single I have children I help care for my aging parents I have money in savings and/or investment accounts I have a lot of personal debt (e.g. credit cards)
How would you best describe your current benefits?	I am currently covered by the airline's Group Policy I am currently covered under the airline's Group Policy but may have to make some major decisions concerning these benefits in the next little while I chose to continue my benefit package through COBRA I have no current insurance coverage I am covered under my Spouse's of Life Partner's benefit package
Retirement Planning	Even though I am of age, I have lost so much money in my 401(k) that I have no plans to retire anytime soon I am concerned that there may be future adjustments to our Pension plan I have already experienced negative adjustments to a Pension plan earlier in my career I may have to work -- at least a part time job -- for the rest of my life I honestly don't know whether or not I could retire. I've never had anyone really look at the numbers for me I am concerned that Social Security and Medicare may change by the time I need them I am concerned about rising taxes and inflation in future years I max out my Roth IRA every year I max out my 401(k) every year I contribute a decent, respectable amount to my 401(k), Roth IRA, or Traditional IRA every year I have money in a 401(k) that I need to move to an IRA, but I don't know the best strategy for me or how to find the best strategy for me I currently draw money from my retirement accounts to supplement my income I much prefer the idea of a "bond ladder" to buying an annuity I much prefer buying an annuity to doing a "bond ladder" I don't understand the differences between annuities and bond ladders I am concerned there could be changes to my Retiree health care plan I plan to fund part of my retirement by collecting rent from Real Estate I own My mortgage will be paid off by the time I retire I prefer the flexibility of renting during retirement I will probably retire somewhere other than the state I live in right now
Life Insurance	It's a big waste of money I'm a single person, so obviously I don't need it I know I should probably have some, but I can't afford it right now I use it as a tax-free alternative to a 401(k) Whatever life insurance I've got is provided by the Airline Whatever life insurance I get through the Airline is "extra" I have my own policy with AT LEAST $1 million death benefit I have my own policy with LESS than $1 million death benefit Life insurance is the foundation of my/our financial plan I've guess I've never really thought about it I've heard of Life Insurance but I don't really understand how it works I know I need it for real estate planning purposes but I'm not sure how that works
Health Insurance	It's a big waste of money I never get sick, so I'm OK without it I know I should probably have it, but I can't afford it right now Whatever health insurance I have is provided by the Airline Whatever health insurance I get through the Airline is "extra" because I've got my own personal insurance plan I am covered by someone else's policy (Spouse, Life Partner) My/our premiums are relatively affordable I/We prefer to have lower premiums and a higher deductible I/We prefer to have higher premiums and a lower deductible Health insurance confuses me and I try not to think about it -- unless I get sick, of course. I am concerned about losing my Group Policy coverage because of what they call "pre-existing conditions."
Disability Insurance	It's a huge waste of money I am always very careful and I doubt I would ever become disabled so I probably don't need it I know I should probably have it, but there's no way I can afford it right now I know that Disability Insurance can guarantee much of my current income if something happens to me I guess I've never really thought about it I think I've covered by the Airline Being disabled can mean having to use a wheelchair, losing eyesight, or loss of mobility only Being disabled can include things like stress, anxiety, obesity, diabetes, depression, and Alzheimers I'm not sure what it means to be "disabled" I'm sure that if I become disabled the government will take care of me through Social Security, Medicare, or something like that. I don't really understand how disability insurance works. I've never really thought about it. I have previously received income from a Disability Insurance policy
Long Term Care Insurance	It's throwing good money away People in my family generally pass away early in life, so I really doubt I would ever use it I've heard of Long Term Care Insurance but really don't understand how it works This is the one insurance I think I might actually need later in life I'd love to have it, but I can't afford it right now I am currently covered by a very good Long Term Care plan. I just hope I'll never have to use it I am currently drawing benefits from my Long Term Care policy I know that Long Term Care helps protect against things like Alzheimers and having to spend time in a care facility I'm way too young to think about Long Term Care
